Dental problems in canines
Gum disease affects 1 out of three dogs and 85% of cats. The usual telltale sign is bad breath. Teeth should be white to slightly yellow and gums should be nice and pink.
The bacteria from dental infections can be swallowed and can spread to vital organs such as the liver and kidneys and eventually cause organ failure.
Dental disease is also linked to heart disease. When you pet has dental problems you can help with antioxidants and immune boosting suppliments.
Of course if you get your pet at a young age you can start brushing thier teeth when they are babies and most will get used to thier dental routine.
